Oh snow, you've changed some dates...

The Hanover Idols Competition has been rescheduled for Sunday, February 21, 2010! 

As originally planned, it will be held in (and sponsored by!) the center with

two shows to enjoy:

5:15 p.m. Hanover Junior Idols Finals

7:30 p.m. Hanover Idols Finals

Doors Open at 5:45 and 7:00 p.m.

Donation $7.00

'We Were There' Black History Celebration that was originally scheduled for February 5 and 6

 in Blackwell Auditorium @ RMC has been postponed until a later date!

Executive Board Meeting January 28, 2010 Highlights

The first 2010 Board of Directors meeting took place on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 7:30 p.m.  For more detailed reports. click on the committee on the sidebar to the right. 

1. Call to Order at 7:30
2. Roll Call
3. Approval of November Minutes (no December meeting)
4. Treasurer's Report
5. Standing Committee (monthly)  Report Highlights: (committees not listed were absent).

• Building Committee-meeting was held on the 25th-radiators covers discussed.
• Grounds Committee-next meeting January 13th 9-11 am.
• Publicity Committee-next meeting January 16th-publicity went well for Hullabaloo; is going along nicely for Hanover Idols; will be an article in the Herald-Progress for 'We Were There-A Black History Celebration'. In addition to website and this blog, a Twitter account will be explored.
• Newsletter Committee-comments about an electronic newsletter encouraged.
• Membership Committee-Hullabaloo was a big success! Thanks to all who helped-decorations were fantastic!

     6.  Special Committee (as appropriate) Report Highlights:

• Railroad Run 2010 Committee-32nd running; 30 people already registered; two new logos-your comments welcomed; new route is being chosen as recommended by the Ashland Police Department; need sponsors, volunteers for course marshalls and fundraising.
• Outreach Committee-Black History Event Feb. 5,6 at Blackwell Auditorium, RMC.  True celebration of our history-needing more volunteers.
• Hanover Idols-January 31, 2010, 5:15 Jr. Idol, 7:30 Hanover Idol $7 donation.

There was no unfinished business this month. In discussing new business, one board member resigned due to a very busy schedule elsewhere (board approval), painting of the interior-colors and estimates discussed.

• Next board meeting - Thursday, February 25, 2010 7:30 pm.
• Hanover Idols January 31, 2010 - 5:15 (Jr. Idol) 7:30 (Hanover Idol)
